If you are a Paragliding Pilot and you have the desire to take paramotor training, the PPG Conversion Course will give you the knowledge and practical skills to fly a powered paraglider successfully.

Most experienced PPG Pilot's will tell you that the conversion from foot launch to PPG launch is not as easy as it look's. The launch technique as well takes at times little more finesse and control ensuing a smooth take-off.

NOTE: Flying foot launched PPG is quite demanding and requires good level of fitness.

PPG CC Training Program.

People are different and their progress in paramotoring varies, our 5 days training program is flexible and personalized to fit your needs. Weather is a key factor for all kinds of aviation, in most cases you should expect the following training program:

Day 1: introduction to paramotor equipment and checks; ground practicing with paramotor; forward launch

Day 2: reverse launch; some flights around the landing area improving the landing approaches and correcting the mistakes.

Day 3: better control and landings; more theory of aerodynamics and rules of the air.

Day 4: instruction of reserve parachute use;

Day 5: longer flights following a route

* the number of your flights depends on the judgment of your instructor, your progress and the prevailing weather conditions. You can expect to complete 5 - 10 solo flights.

Trip to Andalucia & transfers to airport. Trip to Andalucía is not included in the package. You have to arrange your own air ticket to Andalusia (south of Spain). There are many companies that fly here, some of them at very competitive prices. The local airports are Sevilla, Málaga or Jerez.

From the minute you land in Spain we will take care of everything, we will pick you up on arrival and we will stay with you until we take you back to the airport.

Accommodation. The package includes lodging in typical country houses in the town. We have apartments with double rooms for 2,4, 6 people.

Transport to flying sites. We have fully equipped vehicles and 4x4 cars air conditioned to reach the take off and landing sites. We try to fly several times a day... We want you to enjoy your time here as much as possible.

License & Insurance. Included in the price, you have a license for flying and an accident and civil responsability insurance. Before you start the course you must have an accident insurance full rescue/repatriation cover - specific to paragliding.

The European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) with effect from the 01 January 2006. EHIC: free or reduced cost treatment. A European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) entitles you to reduced-cost, sometimes free, medical treatment that becomes necessary while you're in a European Economic Area (EEA) country or Switzerland. We can request an IPPI Card for you, if you want it (not incluyed in the price, 35 €).

Alternative Activities. In the rare event of bad weather and the inability to fly, we have some alternative activities to keep you entertained:

Touristic Routes, throughout typical white villages all over the Sierra, with visits to museums, Natural Parks, Gastronomic Stops,...

Visits to the nearest cities : Cadiz, Sevilla, Ronda, all of great turistic interest.

Archeologic tours. In the nearby areas there are many remains of ancient cultures such as Phoenicians, Romans, Moors...

Trekking: There are a lot of routes throught Grazalema's Natural Park with amazing landscapes, animals and forests.

Mountain bike: You can hire bikes to cross the routes through the Natural Park. One of which is an old disused railway with tunnels, bridges, stationts,... and of course always a restaurant to end your ride!

Canoe : You can also rent canoes enjoying the nearby lakes of Zahara.

Requirements.

Previous EXPERIENCE This conversion course is designed for Club Pilots or Paragliding Pilots with some flying experience.

TRAVEL INSURANCE: You must have an accident insurance, full rescue/repatriation cover - specific to paragliding, or European Health Insurance Card (EHIC).

YOUR HEALTH Flying foot launched PPG is quite demanding and requires good level of fitness. If in doubt please consult your doctor.

No special clothing is required, although we do suggest that you wear long pants and comfortable running shoes that provide some ankle support.
