On
your return home?
Once you have qualified to fly
solo you will normally join a paragliding club and fly with more experienced
pilots who will help you to progress and share their knowledge.
We will give you a certificate
of the course you have completed. We can request an IPPI
card (which is an international fly licence that indicates your
level) to show to your instructor. Go up.
What is
IPPI qualification?
Most national flying organisations
such as the FFVL (France), BHPA (UK) and RFAE (Spain) are members
of the Federation Aeronautique International (FAI).
The FAI have created the International Pilot Proficiency Identification
(IPPI) scheme to enable qualifications obtained in one country to
be recognised in another. In general the training schemes in both
i.e. the UK and Spain, follow the guidelines set down by IPPI so the
exercises completed under one system should be accepted by the other.
The table below shows the IPPI levels and the equivalent qualifications
in the UK and Spain. Get all information about IPPI
card clicking here Go up.
I
am from UK... What to do to complete my training at home?
IPPI Level 2 is obtained after
your Elementary Pilot course (EPC). You can use this card to qualify
as an EP by visiting a UK school and getting checked out by the Chief
Instructor and passing the EPC exam paper. You will then be able to
continue training to be a Novice Pilot with the school.
IPPI Level 3 – To get to
this level you will need to do a EP course followed by a Club Pilot
course (CPC). With this card you will be able to go for your Novice
Pilot straight away. You will need to contact a BHPA instructor or
senior club coach who will assess you and sign you off as having the
appropriate level. You must then pass the Novice pilot written exam
which can be invigilated by the coach or instructor.
How
to get here?
Our nearest airports are Malaga,
Seville or Jerez. We will pick you up on arrival and transfer you
to our club in Algodonales. If you prefer you can hire a car from
the airport with a maximum transfer time of 1 1/2 hours. We will provide
free airport transfers for groups between 3-7 persons, otherwise there
will be a charge of 60 Euros per journey. We normally have a vehicle
to meet clients at Malaga airport for one P.m evry Saturday. Alternatives
are Car hire (which is reasonably inexpensive, budget between 70 –120
€) or Bus which takes about 2.5 hours, which you catch from Malaga
central (very easy), it costs at most 10 Euros and will drop you off
in either Ronda or preferably Algodonales For both directions from
the Airport or Bus timetable from Malaga central click here or contact us for any further
details.Go up.
What
about non-flying partners…
All are welcome. Of course there
will be an accommodation supplement for partners and children: 145

everyone busy while you are flying. horse riding to kitesurfing. picnics
& canoeing and beautiful white hillside villages of Andalucia,
everything is out there to do and explore. We can organized tandem
flights to non flyers. Go up.

the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) with effect from the 01
January 2006.

A European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) entitles
you to reduced-cost, sometimes free, medical treatment that becomes
necessary while you're in a European Economic Area (EEA) country or
