This qualification allows you to join a paragliding club and fly on their sites. It is the basic pilot level for autonomous flying. Having completed your beginner course you are guaranteed to want to learn more and broaden your horizons. This is an important level to aim for if you intend to continue with the sport. This course is designed to keep you soaring for extended periods. Plenty of time is devoted to airtime experience and we go over the basic theory of aerodynamics, site selection, rules of the air weather and safety. You learn how to soar, practice manoeuvres, altitude, glide judgement & emergency skills. Radio supervision is provided for your peace of mind & safety. By the end of this course you should be confident to fly and practice without direct instructor supervision but within significant operating limitations. We will provide you the paraglider, harness, helmet and radios during the lesson. |

Paragliding Training Program. People are different and their progress in paragliding varies, our 5 days training program is flexible and personalized to fit your needs. Weather is a key factor for all kinds of aviation, in most cases you should expect the following training program:
* the number of your flights depends on the judgment of your instructor, your progress and the prevailing weather conditions. The Beginner's course corresponds to the international FAI/ParaPro2, the UK BHPA/ElementaryPilot. After this course you will then be able to move onto the Club Pilot course (level 2) which can be 5 day midweek courses. The idea of these courses is as the name suggests to build your experience at different sites and in different conditions until the instructors feel you are ready to "Free Fly" autonomously.

Trip to Andalucia & transfers to airport. Trip to Andalucía is not included in the package. You have to arrange your own air ticket to Andalusia (south of Spain). There are many companies that fly here, some of them at very competitive prices. The local airports are Sevilla, Málaga or Jerez. From the minute you land in Spain we will take care of everything, we will pick you up on arrival and we will stay with you until we take you back to the airport.

Accommodation. The package includes lodging in typical country houses in the town. We have apartments with double rooms for 2,4, 6 people.

Transport to flying sites. We have fully equipped vehicles and 4x4 cars air conditioned to reach the take off and landing sites. We try to fly several times a day... We want you to enjoy your time here as much as possible.

License & Insurance. Included in the price, you have a license for flying and an accident and civil responsability insurance. Before you start the course you must have an accident insurance full rescue/repatriation cover - specific to paragliding. The European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) with effect from the 01 January 2006. EHIC: free or reduced cost treatment. A European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) entitles you to reduced-cost, sometimes free, medical treatment that becomes necessary while you're in a European Economic Area (EEA) country or Switzerland. For more information & how to apply please see the Department of Health web site. We can request an IPPI Card for you, if you want it (not incluyed in the price, 35 €).

| Alternative Activities. In the rare event of bad weather and the inability to fly, we have some alternative activities to keep you entertained: Touristic Routes,
throughout typical white villages all over the Sierra, with visits to
museums, Natural Parks, Gastronomic Stops,...
Visits to the nearest cities
: Cadiz, Sevilla, Ronda, all of great turistic interest.
Archeologic tours.
In the nearby areas there are many remains of ancient cultures such
as Phoenicians, Romans, Moors...
Trekking: There are
a lot of routes throught Grazalema's Natural Park with amazing landscapes,
animals and forests.
Mountain bike: You
can hire bikes to cross the routes through the Natural Park. One of
which is an old disused railway with tunnels, bridges, stationts,...
and of course always a restaurant to end your ride!
Canoe : You can also
rent canoes enjoying the nearby lakes of Zahara.

Requirements. TRAVEL INSURANCE: You must have an accident insurance, full rescue/repatriation cover - specific to paragliding, or European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). No special clothing is required, although we do suggest that you wear long pants and comfortable running shoes that provide some ankle support.
